Zane Cerpina is an interdisciplinary curator, producer, author, designer, and artist working at the intersection of art, technology, and critical socio-political inquiry. Her work navigates the complexity of environmental collapse, systemic violence, and speculative futures—often through bold curatorial strategies and experimental publishing.
Cerpina is the Artistic Director at TEKS – Trondheim Electronic Arts Centre, where she serves as lead curator of the Meta.Morf Trondheim Biennale for Art and Technology. She is the co-founder and editor of EE: Experimental Emerging Art Journal, and co-founder of several other initiatives including Conflict Design Lab, Oslo Flaneur Festival, and Ghost Publishing.
In January 2026, Cerpina will begin her Public Sector PhD at NTNU’s Department of Design, co-financed by TEKS and the Research Council of Norway.
She is the co-author of The Anthropocene Cookbook: Recipes and Opportunities for Future Catastrophes (MIT Press, 2022) and is currently working on several new book projects, including Soft Sensur, which explores subtle forms of censorship in the Norwegian art field.
Her curatorial portfolio includes the Meta.Morf Biennales Future Manifestos (2026, upcoming), [up]Loaded Bodies (2024), and Ecophilia (2022); FAEN Academy – Female Artistic Experiments Norway; The Dangerous Futures Conference (2018); Oslo Flaneur Festival (2016 and 2025); and The Anthropocene Kitchen event series. She was lead producer of two foundational research projects in media art: The Norwegian Media Art Library and The Book of Electronic Arts Norway.
Cerpina holds an MA in Design from The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) and a BA in Art and Technology from Aalborg University. She lectures and presents internationally, with appearances at ISEA (Vancouver, Hong Kong, Seoul, Manizales, Barcelona, Brisbane), Ars Electronica (Austria), V2_ (Netherlands), LABVERDE (Brazil), STRAND (Serbia), IPMA (Lithuania), and Kontejner (Croatia), among many others.
